Who you are contracting with
Polaris is provided by Perfect Polys Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 11475206), registered office 1 Pipers Close, Hove, East Sussex, BN3 8FG, United Kingdom. "We" and "us" mean Perfect Polys Ltd. "You" means the person or organisation using Polaris.
What Polaris is
A desktop application that connects to your running Unreal Engine editor and runs tools against your project — audits, fixes, analysis and generation — plus AI features that explain results, answer questions and write new tools on request. Polaris is in early access. Features change, and some parts of the interface refer to software that is not yet supported.
Accounts
You need an account to use Polaris, and you must be at least 18. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
Free access
A free account can run three read-only audits — lighting, textures and naming. These write nothing to your project. There is no time limit and no card required.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe, in pounds sterling. Prices are shown on the pricing page (£2.99 and £9.99 a month at the time of writing) and VAT is added at checkout where it applies.
Both paid plans include every tool. What differs is your monthly credit allowance, which meters the AI features. Credits reset at the start of each billing period and do not roll over. Top-up credits bought separately do not expire and are used only once the monthly allowance is gone.
Early-access rate. If you subscribe during early access, your price stays at the rate you signed up on for as long as that subscription stays active. Cancel and resubscribe later and you pay whatever the price is then.
Cancel any time from your account. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for and then stops. We do not refund part-months.
Your cancellation right. As a consumer you normally have 14 days to cancel a digital service and get a refund. Because access begins immediately on subscribing, you agree to the service starting straight away and accept that this right is lost once it has. If something is genuinely broken, email us — we would rather fix it or refund you than argue about it.
What Polaris does to your project
Some tools modify your project. Every one of them shows you what it will change and waits for you to approve before it does anything. Read-only audits change nothing.
You are responsible for your project. Use source control or keep backups. Review what a tool proposes before approving it. We are not liable for changes you approved, for work lost because it was not under source control, or for a tool behaving unexpectedly on a project set up in a way we did not anticipate.
Tools Polaris writes for you
When Polaris generates a tool, the resulting Python is yours. You can read it, change it, keep it and use it commercially. It stays on your machine, and it keeps working whether or not you stay subscribed. We claim no ownership over it and no rights over the projects you use it on.
AI output
The AI features produce suggestions, summaries and code. They can be wrong. Treat the output as a starting point from a fast assistant, not as verified advice — check anything that matters before acting on it.
Acceptable use
Do not resell or redistribute access to Polaris, share one account across a team to avoid paying for seats, attempt to bypass the credit system, reverse engineer the service, or use it to break the law or infringe anyone's rights. We may suspend an account that does.
Availability
Polaris is early-access software supplied as it is. We do not promise uninterrupted service or guarantee any level of uptime, and the AI features depend on third parties whose availability we do not control. We aim to give notice of planned disruption, but we cannot always.
Liability
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Nor does it affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Beyond that, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, lost work or business interruption, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Ending it
You can stop at any time by cancelling and, if you want, deleting your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or withdraw the service entirely with reasonable notice. If we withdraw it, we refund any period you have paid for but not received. Tools already generated stay yours.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top will change with them, and we will email account holders about anything that materially affects you. Continuing to use Polaris after a change means accepting it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
